NOTICE

THIRD SERIES OF THE RADIO AMATEUR EXAMINATION (RAE 2010-3)

AND SECOND SERIES OF THE MORSE CODE TEST (CW 2010-2) FOR 2010

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) will be holding the third series of the Radio Amateur Examination (RAE) and the second series of the Morse Code Test for the year 2010, pursuant to Regulation 26(2) of the Communications and Multimedia (Technical Standards) Regulations 2000 as follow:

Qualification to sit for the examination/test is as follow:

Morse Code Test (CW)	Radio Amateur Examination (RAE)
Age 18 and above on the test date Holding a valid Class B (9W), Amateur Station Apparatus Assignment for at least one (1) year prior to the test date.	Age 14 and above on the test date Malaysian Citizen (Please refer to any MCMC office to confirm your eligibility for non-Malaysian citizen).

Qualified individuals are invited to sit for the test. The application form can be obtained from MCMC head office and via the MCMC website at www.skmm.gov.my.

For the CW application, please send duly completed forms together with the payment, a copy of your identification document (Identity Card, “Kad Kuasa” or Passport) and a copy of your Amateur Station Apparatus Assignment to:

For the RAE application, please send duly completed forms together with the payment

and a copy of your identification document (Identity Card, “Kad Kuasa” or Passport)

to the respective SKMM’s offices according to your examination centre preferred as

Please mark the top left corner of the envelope with the correct Series No. of the examination / test. The examination / test fee is Ringgit Malaysia Fifty (RM 50.00) and shall be paid in either Money / Postal Order or Bank Draft made out in favour of “SURUHANJAYA KOMUNIKASI DAN MULTIMEDIA MALAYSIA” and must be enclosed with the application form. Payment received through other mode of payment will be rejected.

The numbers of candidates are limited and priority is given to early applications received. The application result will be available at MCMC’s website at www.skmm.gov.my about two weeks before the examination/test date.
